Events & Facility Rentals

The Indiana War Memorial Plaza Historic District consists of the Indiana War Memorial, Soldiers & Sailors Monument, American Legion Mall, Veterans Memorial Plaza, University Park and the USS Indianapolis (CA-35) Memorial on the Canal. The properties and facilities are operated by the Indiana War Memorial Commission to commemorate the valor and sacrifice of Hoosier veterans of our nation’s conflicts and to provide for the education and enjoyment of visitors. Portions of the Plaza and its buildings are available to rent for public and private events.

Events, Meetings and Conferences

Pershing Auditorium, Woodfill Boardroom, Spruance and Shoup Halls, and the Grand Lobby and West Foyer are available for ceremonies, receptions, meetings, conferences, and other events. Pershing Auditorium seats 500, and features full audio-visual capabilities, including widescreen projector, wireless microphones, DVD, and computer A/V inputs. Reservations are required for all venues. Please submit the IWM Event Rental Application to our Event Coordinator to reserve the space for your use.

Outrdoor Events

The Indiana War Memorial Plaza Historic District includes American Legion Mall, Veterans Memorial Plaza, University Park and the USS Indianapolis (CA-35) Memorial on the Canal. The parks are also available for use, from small private events to large public events. Indiana War Memorial outdoor venues must be reserved prior to use. Please submit the IWM Event Rental Application to our Event Coordinator to reserve the space for your event.
