The Indiana War Memorials Foundation is proud to offer the Bricks of Honor Program. Since 2012 the Bricks of Honor program has provided a way for the Indiana community – both local and national – to give a lasting tribute that honors the service and memory of an individual American veteran.
The bricks are installed on Monument Circle at the base of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument, creating a lasting legacy in Indianapolis for veterans. There are over 1.5 million people who visit Monument Circle every year, those visitors often take notice of the bricks beneath their feet and pay their respects to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
The program has grown significantly in the last ten years since its initial conception. We are proud to offer souvenir bricks with the purchase for an additional cost, allowing you to take home a souvenir size replica of the brick.
The Foundation offers small intimate ceremonies at the request of the customers. These ceremonies are held during the week days and are led by the Executive Director of the Indiana War Memorials retired US Air Force Brigadier General Stewart Goodwin. In addition to this, we accommodate location requests around Monument Circle and are more than happy to place bricks together per request.

The Bricks of Honor are available for any veteran, living or deceased. The veteran does not have to be from the state of Indiana or have ties to Indianapolis, however, they must be a past member of an American military branch with honorable service commemorating their sacrifice to our great nation. Your contribution provides a lasting visual demonstration of your commitment to the brave men and women who have guarded our freedoms for generations.
