National POW-MIA Recognition Day Ceremony
National POW-MIA Recognition Day ceremonies are held throughout the nation and around the world on military installations, ships at sea, state capitols, schools, churches, national Veteran and civic organizations, police and fire departments, etc. The League’s POW-MIA flag is flown, and the focus is to ensure that America remembers its responsibility to stand behind those who serve our nation and do everything possible to account for those who do not return.
Together, we commemorate the more than 82,000 service members still missing in action, especially our Hoosier former POWs and their families and the Hoosier MIA families.
We invite you to join us on the north steps of the Indiana War Memorial for this free event to honor and pay tribute to this unique group of Hoosier Patriots.
