We offer several different types of volunteer opportunities
Training is provided at the first volunteer session.
Communications
Help tell our friends and the public the story of veterans as the guardians of our state’s greatest public spaces. We need writers, graphic designers, photographers and videographers to assist with our quarterly newsletter and other communications.
Data Entry/Administrative Assistance
Help the museum staff and the Indiana War Memorials Foundation log information about our Hoosier veterans and the Friends of Hoosier Veterans.
Docents/ Museum Guides
Help visitors get the most out of their museum experience. Docents can either assist scheduled visitor groups or walk-in guests.
Front Desk
Greet guests that visit the Indiana War Memorial and assist with other administrative tasks in-between welcoming visitors.
Landscaping
Have a green thumb? With 24 acres, there are many opportunities to help with landscaping and gardening projects
Buy a Brick
Make a permanent tribute to a veteran with our Bricks of Honor program.
All the bricks are located on Monument Circle surrounding the Soldiers and Sailors Monument.
